How we handle your information

This website is operated by Robert Georgopoulos and George Georgopoulos, Sales Representatives, of RE/MAX Advantage Realty Ltd., Brokerage, 151 Pine Valley Blvd, London, Ontario N6K 3T6 ("we", "us"). We handle personal information under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and send commercial messages under Canada's anti-spam legislation (CASL). What do we collect?

What you type into a form: the contact, home evaluation, showing request, listing alert, Active Neighbour, dream home brief and mortgage pre-approval forms ask for some of your name, email address, phone number, a property address and details, your price range and search preferences, and your message.

Your consent: the wording of the consent you ticked and when you ticked it.

Technical details sent with a form: your IP address, browser type and the page you came from, stored with the submission to prevent spam and abuse. Rate limiting uses a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address.

We do not ask for, and ask you not to send, financial account numbers, government ID numbers or health information through this site.

How do we use it?

Only for the purpose you gave it to us, or one you would reasonably expect from that request:

to reply to you, prepare the home evaluation you asked for, arrange a showing, or send the listing alerts you set up;
for a mortgage pre-approval request, to pass your details to the mortgage professional we refer you to, for that request only and only with your consent;
to keep the site secure, and to meet the record-keeping duties that apply to Ontario real estate brokerages and their registrants.

Who else sees it?

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only:

with service providers that run parts of this site for us: Cloudflare hosts the website and its database, and our email provider delivers alerts and replies. They process information on our behalf and may store it outside Canada, where it can be subject to the laws of those countries;
with RE/MAX Advantage Realty Ltd., Brokerage, where brokerage rules require it;
where the law requires it.

Where do the listings come from?

From the MLS® System of the London and St. Thomas Association of REALTORS® and other participating boards through PropTx. That flow runs one way, from the boards to this site. Browsing listings does not send your personal information to the boards or to PropTx.

Do you use cookies?

We use no advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser's local storage keeps the homes you save and your compare list on your own device; they are not sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes them. When a map loads, map tiles are fetched from OpenFreeMap, whose servers see your IP address as part of any normal web request.

How long do you keep it, and how is it protected?

As long as we need it for the purpose you gave it to us and as long as brokerage record-keeping rules require, then it is deleted. The site is served only over encrypted connections, form data is stored in an access-controlled database, and access is limited to the people and providers who need it.

How do I see, correct or delete my information?
