More than the name suggests. Medway takes in Middlesex College, Alumni Hall, Huron University College, Brescia and University Hospital at 339 Windermere Road. The North Thames separates it from Old North, and Medway Creek and its wooded valley run along the north side, toward Masonville.
West of Western Road, the City's NeighbourGood site describes the residential neighbourhoods in turn. University Heights has 1970s and 1980s detached homes west of Western Road and older houses and student-oriented townhouse complexes east of Platts Lane. Orchard Park and Sherwood Forest is defined by 1950s and 1960s houses. Limberlost sits west of Wonderland Road North, and Whitehills adds 1970s detached homes with townhouse complexes, duplexes and row housing.
The City's 2016 profile counted 19,580 residents (21,380 in 1996) in 7,395 occupied homes: 4,160 single-detached houses, 1,605 row houses, 740 semi-detached, 520 in low-rise apartment buildings, 230 in buildings of five or more storeys and 140 duplex units. About 72% were owned. To see which are for sale now, look at what's listed in Medway, and compare asking prices with the rest of the city.
Thames Valley District School Board schools inside the district include University Heights Public School (27 Ford Crescent), Orchard Park Public School (50 Wychwood Park), Emily Carr Public School (44 Hawthorne Road), Wilfrid Jury Public School (950 Lawson Road) and Sir Frederick Banting Secondary School (125 Sherwood Forest Square). The London District Catholic School Board runs St. Thomas More Catholic School at 18 Wychwood Park. Confirm the school for any address with each board's locator. Note that Medway High School is not here; it is in Arva, at 14405 Medway Road.
Recreation clusters where Sherwood Forest Square meets Wonderland Road North: the Medway Community Centre and Ray Lanctin Memorial Arena at 119 Sherwood Forest Square, the Canada Games Aquatic Centre at 1045 Wonderland Road North, and Medway Park beside them with a spray pad and the Medway-Kiwanis skate bowls. The southern part of the Medway Valley Heritage Forest Environmentally Significant Area is inside the district, and the Museum of Ontario Archaeology on Attawandaron Road interprets the Lawson Site, an Indigenous farming village of the early 1500s.
London Transit buses serve Western Road and the campus, with service to downtown, and also run on Wonderland Road, Lawson Road and Sarnia Road; check LTC for current routes and times. As the crow flies, Middlesex College is about 1 km from the middle of the district and Masonville Place about 2 km.

Mostly Medway. The main campus west of the North Thames, including Middlesex College, Alumni Hall and Huron University College, is inside the Medway planning district, while King's University College is across the river in Old North.

Mostly postwar: the City's neighbourhood pages put Orchard Park and Sherwood Forest in the 1950s and 1960s, and University Heights (west of Western Road) and Whitehills in the 1970s and 1980s.
The City's neighbourhood pages treat Sherwood Forest Mall on Wonderland Road North as the local commercial centre, with the Sherwood Forest library branch at 1225 Wonderland Road North. Masonville Place is about 2 km to the north as the crow flies.
