What to know about homes in Strathroy
Strathroy's housing is layered rather than new: about a fifth of homes were built in 1960 or earlier, a quarter between 1961 and 1980 and roughly a quarter since 2001 (2021 Census). There is no apartment building of five storeys or more in town, and only about 7% of households were in a condominium, so most choice is in detached houses, semis and row houses.
The Sydenham River runs through the middle of town. The St. Clair Region Conservation Authority regulates river valleys, floodplains, slopes and wetlands under Ontario Regulation 41/24, and it warns the rule applies whether an area is mapped or not, so ask its planning staff about any lot near the river.
Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Carrie Street has an emergency department, and Middlesex County Connect buses link the town with London; check the County's schedule. Find out more about living in Strathroy, or compare Mount Brydges and Komoka and Kilworth closer to the city.

Common questions
How many homes are for sale in Strathroy right now?
The live count on the button at the top is every active listing on the MLS® System in this search (every residential listing in the town of Strathroy). It changes through the day as properties are listed and sold, so we do not print a number that would soon be out of date.
What does a home cost in Strathroy?
Asking prices change every day, so we do not print a figure. Sort the listings by price to see today's range, and check the median asking price in Strathroy. For what homes have actually sold for, ask us.
Is Strathroy a town or a municipality?
Both names are in use. Strathroy became a town in 1870, and since 2001 it has been the main community of the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc, which also includes Mount Brydges. The homes listed here are in the town itself.
Can you commute from Strathroy to London without a car?
There are two options: Middlesex County Connect buses and VIA Rail trains. Check both schedules against your hours first.
Can you show me a home listed by another brokerage?
Yes. We can show you any home on the MLS® System, whoever the listing brokerage is. Call Rob at 519-871-2222 or George at 519-871-1111, or use the request button on the listing.
Buying, selling, or just curious?
Call Rob or George directly, or send a message and one of them will get back to you. A home evaluation is free and prepared by a person, never a formula.
